Christmas morning the kids woke up and saw what Santa brought. Ashlee was very excited to get her princess bike.(she'd been telling everyone thats what she wanted for months). The kids then went through their stockings and then it was time to hurry out for 9 oclock church.

After church we opened presents...here's Ash and JJ with their gifts.

Bryson didnt care about the gifts...all he wanted was all the chocolate. That's my boy!

Later that day my side of the family came up for dinner. Heres some of the cousins exchanging gifts. JJ got 2 new shorts, Ash got a Dora tent and Braden bouncy balls.

Havasu Festival of Lights

The first weekend in December Lake Havasu has a festival of lights on the lake. Some of those boats were really decked out. It was fun we ate Subway sandwiches as we watched the boats parade around. The only down side was how cold is was. Usually Havasu is so hot that we did not expect it to be cold . The kids were freezing so we bundled everyone up.

Thanksgiving weekend my little brother got married. It was a beautiful day in San Diego. The reception was held in Rancho Cucamonga. Were so happy for the newly weds and to have been part of their special day!

Thanksgiving this year was at Bryan and Sariah's. They were brave and had all of us plus my brother Davids future family. We had a great feast of Turkey, ham, potatoes, rolls, green beans, corn casserole, salads and lots of yummy desserts. After dinner the cousins all played. There favorite was the balloons Uncle Jim brought. I am so grateful for my wonderful family.

Birthday Weekend

For my birthday this year Arlan and I were able to get away for a night. My birthday morning started off with the kids making me breakfast and putting a sign and balloons up. After we hung out as a family in the morning Arlan and I headed up to our cabin in Big Bear. We went out to dinner at a nice restaurant and the b-day dessert was Creme Brule(yummy). I know i am not spelling that right oh well. After dinner we went to the movies and then back to the cabin for hot chocolate by the fire. The next morning we woke up and Arlan made his awesome omelets and then we did some shopping on the way home. It was one of my favorite birthdays... with my favorite man...doing my favorite things.... eating at a nice restaurant and shopping! I am grateful for my husband for making this such a great birthday.

On Nov.1 , 2011 Jaron turned 8 which meant he was old enough to be baptised. His baptism was held that following Saturday. It was a special day for all of us and I am so proud of Jaron. He was pretty nervous that day and full of the spirit. We had lots of the Garcia family and Veirs family there. Also some close friends from church came. Afterward we had everyone over to our house for pizza and cake. Jaron is such a good little example to his younger siblings. We love him so much!

Summer Havasu Trips

One of our favorite things to do over the summer is go to our Lake Havasu house. The weather and water are perfect for boating and swimming. We have a fun time tubing, cliff jumping, swimming in the warm water and getting shaved ice.

This past weekend we enjoyed a couple days at the beach. We camped in our RV which is the only way to camp:) ! We had some of Arlans family there so the kids enjoyed playing with cousins, making sandcastles and doing smores! It was a great weekend for everyone.

We had some family in town so had everyone over for dinner and a little birthday celebration for Ashlee. Wow I can not believe my baby girl is now 3. We all love her so much and are glad she is such a special part of our family!

Honduras-Part 1

Me, my dad and mom at a beach by their home. It was really windy that day so we all have crazy hair!

We left for LAX Saturday morning at 1:30 and arrived in Honduras 11 am. It was quite a long flight and we had some delays but it was all worth it when we saw my amazing parents waiting for us. Some of the things we did with them was go to Roatan Island, meet some of their wonderful missionaries, see the waterfalls, shopping at their mall and buying things with limps, ate Baliatas (totally spelling this wrong), and just had fun being together. I quickly learned how grateful I am for all the things I take for granted...like being able to drink from the tap or brush my teeth without having to use bottled water, being able to flush toliet paper down the toliet and having air in our church bldgs. The people in my parents ward for the most part dont have much but they all seemed really happy. I am grateful for my parents for their ongoing example that they will serve with all their hearts no matter where or what the calling. I know they are amazing mission president and wife and the San Pedro Sula Mission is blessed by them. Thanks mom and dad for such a great experience!

Honduras-Part 2: Roatan & Waterfalls

While in Honduras we were able to spend a couple of days over at Roatan Island. This is a 3 1/2 hour drive plus a 1 1/2 hour boat ride from my parents mission home but is still part of their mission. We stayed in a beautiful hotel called the Infinity which was right on the beach. The beach was beautful...clear bright blue water and soft white sand. At the end of our trip we went to see these amazing waterfalls. The scenery was beautiful. Everything was so green and lush and then in the middle of it all was these awesome waterfalls. One of the things I loved about Honduras was how green everything was and all the palm trees.

We had a great Easter this year with my brother and his family, my grandma and uncle Jim.

It was a much smaller group than we're used too but still lots of fun. Our Easter meal was a yummy ham dinner with mashed potatoes, rolls, spinach dip, salad, grean beans, dessert and lemonade. Our day ended with the kids Easter egg hunt.

We had a great time as a family over the kids spring break. The big highlight was going to Disneyland and Ca Adventure. On Friday while we were at Disneyland it was supposed to rain which helped with the park being less crowded. Saturday we went to Ca Adventure. It was more crowded but we still had a blast.

We had a small family party for Bryson. The weather was perfect for a bounce house outback. That entertained the kids the entire time and then to end the party we did a pinata. They all loved getting the candy of course. It was a fun little celebration for our sweet 1 yr old. We love you Bryson!

Heres 12 Things about our 12 month old:

1. He has only gotten his 2 bottom teeth.

2. He crawls all over the place, even up our stairs and pulls himself up to stand.

3. He is a very good eater. His favorite foods are-pizza, hotdogs, cheetoe puffs, avocado and apple sauce.

4. Least favorite food is bananas.

5. He loves to be thrown up in the air.

6. Has lots of ticklish spots.

7. Has this great deep loud laugh.

8. Likes to watch Wiggles and Blues Clues

9. Likes to play with balls and cars. He is all boy.

10. Loves all the attention he gets from his older siblings.

11. At his recent check up he was 16 1/2 pounds. The dr says he is underweight which is hard to believe since he eats all the time.

12. His nicknames are Puppy/ Pup (long story but the other kids thought he was more like a puppy when we brought him home from the hospital) and Brysones.

On February 24, 2011 my dear father in law...Carlos Garcia passed away. On March 5 funeral services were held in Chino, California. Allthough it was a sad day it was also a day of hope. I am so grateful for the knowledge of Families can be together Forever. We are going to miss him so much but what peace we have in knowing this is not the end.

I am blessed to of had such a wonderful father in law who treated me like his own daughter. He always had a smile on his face and never said an unkind word about others. One of the things I am most appreciative for is how he raised his children. He raised a righteous, loving, hardworking boy that I get to now call my husband. Infact Arlan reminds me a lot of his dad. Until we meet again Dads...You will always hold a special place in our hearts!

The kids actually slept in a little and we started opening gifts at about 8 oclock. It is so fun seeing the excitement in their eyes as they come running down the stairs. They must of all been really good this year they got lots of fun stuff. For the family Santa left a big play house for the back yard and Kinect for X box. We love this time of year and enjoy spending time with family, doing fun traditions and remembering Christ birth. We have had such a wonderful year and feel so blessed!

This year for Thanksgiving we had it at my Uncle Jeff and Aunt Pegs house. We enjoyed a yummy feast of turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, grams cranberry jello, corn pudding, apple walnut salad, rolls and homemade pies. I love how even though my grandma is 90 years old she is right there in the kitchen preparing alot of the food. She is such an inspiration to me. We all had a wonderful evening eating and hanging out together.

Road Trip

At the end of September we headed up North for a wedding and baby blessing. My cousin Dana got married in Auburn and then Paul and Dani blessed their baby in Danville. It was a quick but fun weekend. Arlan and I got to spend some alone time with our little guy Bryson. The three older kids stayed home with a babysitter.

Beautiful Big Bear

At the beginning of Summer we went to our cabin in Big Bear and decided to do a little adventure in our Rhino. Arlan came up with a plan to load everyone up and drive up in the mountain and have a picnic. I was a little hesitant at first... I kept thinking a bear or some wild animal was going to get us. But once I relaxed and just enjoyed our time it was amazing. We found a great little spot to have a picnic and look down onto the lake. The boys played football and then we headed back. We usually use are cabin more in the winter when there is snow but it was fun to enjoy the beauty of it this time of year too!

A few days ago sweet little Bryson turned 4 months. The above pictures are him at 3 and 4 months. I dont have his current weight and height but he does have a well baby check up at the end of the month so that's when we will find out.

We were so happy when the Clark Family came to visit and even more excited that they were able to go to the lake with us! We dont get to see the Clarks as much since they are in Idaho but it is awesome how when we do its just like old times! The kids all play really well together too!We had a fun day swimming, tubing and seedooing. I'm sure J was pretty happy this time that no cat tails were involved! :) Cant wait for our next visit!

Called to Serve

On July 1st my parents arrived in Honduras to spend the next 3 years. My dad was called to serve in the San Pedro Sula, Honduras mission as mission president. Allthough we miss them a ton we know they and our families will be blessed by their service. There are many reasons why the mission is going to be blessed by them but here are 3 of my top reasons. First I'll start with my Dad...1.He is the most knowledgeable person I know in the gospel. 2. He works so hard at all he does and serves with all his heart. 3. He drops everything to help someone in need. (thank you dad for the times I've called you late at night and you never hesitated to come help me with whatever was going on). My mom...1. She raised 7 great kids so will have no problem being a "mom" to 200. 2. She is the greatest cook / baker and always has a good supply of chocolate on hand. 3. She always served in whatever calling faithfully and taught us the importance of serving and supporting your spouse in their service.

Our 4th of July this year was spent at Ventura Beach. We were there with Arlans family

attending the Garcia family reunion. The kids had a great time with their cousins. We went to the beach, played at the park, did smores and swam at the pool. It was a fun weekend.

newborn. He is smiling all the time now and making

all kinds of cute noises. At his 2 month check up he

weighed 10 pounds 1 oz and is 21 inches long.

Bryson's Blessing Day

a name and Blessing in our church.

Mothers Day

My Mothers day started off with breakfast made
by daddy and these great helpers!
We had omelets, bacon, and toast. It was yummy!

I got some great gifts, but this little guy was

by far the best gift of all!

Meeting Baby Brother

His Arrival

On March 17 our sweet baby Bryson joined our family.
It was quite an eventful day. I arrived at San Antonio Hospital
at 10:30am. My c - section was scheduled at 12:30. My nurse
got me settled in my room , then hooked me up to the monitors.
Right after she left my room the monitors started beeping like
crazy and 5 nurses rushed in. They had me get on my side and
told me the baby was not breathing. I was freaking out and Arlan
had just left the room so i was all alone. After they had me flip from
side to side and put oxygen on me the baby seemed fine. They stayed
in the room for a little awhile and then told me he probably just
layed on his cord for a second. After everything seemed fine they told
me my dr was in with an emergency so my c -section would be pushed
back. Finally at 3:15 I was taken into the operating room. Then it
took them 3 tries in 3 different areas of my back to get my spinal in. By
this time I was crying and my back was super sore. It had allready been
a long emotional morning. At 3:35pm Bryson arrived and it was all
worth it when they announced we had a healthy baby boy. He weighed
6 pounds 3 ounces and was 19 inches long.

For New yrs Eve we went to Magic Mountain with another family and had such a great time with them. I thought it was going to be a little crazy there but it wasnt and at midnight we got to watch a great firework show the park put on.

The above pictures are from Christmas Eve. We had a great dinner at my moms and then for dessert had that yummy birthday cake. The kids had fun decorating cookies and opening presents. I think the best part of the night though was at the end when my bro David came out with tons of wrapped packages. He gave one to each boy in the family and had them open them at the same time. Inside were Nerf guns and the guys went wild running around having a gun fight. Luckily they stopped for a moment for me to get the above picture. Thanks David that was such a cute idea and thanks mom and dad for such a fun night.

We have been having fun all month getting ready for Christmas. As the kids get older it is so neat to see Christmas through their eyes. We love this magical time of year. The kids have had fun decorating gingerbread houses, writing and then receiving letters from Santa, decorating the house and looking at all the Christmas lights around the neighborhood. We've also been doing lots of family traditions that I will post about later.

Wow! I can not believe how much time has passed since my last post. Things have been busy around here( like it is for everyone) so i need to catch up on what has been going on in our lives.

First right after my last post we found out I am pregnant with baby # 4. This is partially why i took a break from blogging, my first four months of pregnancy are always hard. This one seemed extremely bad with the none stop throwing up. I am now in my second trimester and feeling good. We found out last month that we are having another BOY! Everyone is excited about our new little man coming in March.

In August school started for the boys. They are both at the same school now which is nice. Jaron is in first grade and Braden is in Pre K.

After school starting it seemed like the holidays just came upon us so fast. I can not believe Christmas is just weeks away. A quick overview of Halloween and Thanksgiving are...For Halloween JJ was a Ninja turtle, Braden Thomas the Train and Ashlee Hot Dog on a stick worker. We went down to my parents house for a small birthday celebration for JJ (he turned 6 the next day). Then all the cousins went trick or treating. For Thanksgiving this year we went to my parents and had some yummy food and the next day went to the lake to be with Arlans side. I love this time of year the holidays just bring people closer together and help me remember to reflect on all my blessings.

My next post will have updated pictures but just wanted to get this all down before i forgot everything.

My kids are so blessed to have such great cousins on both sides of the family. This past weekend we went to the Garcia Family Reunion. Iv'e lost count of how many kids there are when we all get together but I would say 60+.

What a rough life!

We had a great fourth of July weekend. We celebrated at the lake with some of the Garcia family. It was filled with riding, hangin out with cousins, sunbathing/ sleeping as shown here with Ashlee and ending with a great fireworks show. It was really fun to watch Jaron get excited about doing sparklers and watching all the fireworks. The other two weren't so sure about it all, maybe next year!

I love catching up with others through their blogs and now have decided to start our own.

This first post is about Ashlee's 1st Birthday. We celebrated at Sugarloaf Park in Big Bear with the family. You got spoiled and had a great time with all your cousins. I can hardly believe you have allready turned one. That first year has flown by. Ashlee we love you so much and can't wait to celebrate many more birthdays with you. Happy 1st Birthday on June 11 baby girl!
